School of Ministry Testimonies

I just wanted to send you a quick note of thanks for helping Chris out mentally and spiritually. The last few month have been hard, but something wonderful has come out of it…my husband is finally taking a firm grasp on his position of “spiritual head of the household”. Ever since he has started those classes it has been such a change in him and I for one really love it. He asks me to pray with him and he is being more productive with his “free time”.

We both know God is working, preparing people and setting up something great for him in the career area of life. It makes me feel so much better about the uncertain things in life when I know Chris is leading. It feels like I have been in that role for a while and (for a woman) it gets very tiring and makes you dislike a lot of things about life. So, thanks for your help and suggestions! He told me the other day he was so happy at the turn his life was taking and I couldn’t agree more. I get so excited to think about what the Lord has in store for his life now that he is taking those step and walking into the Lords calling.

Thank you so much for your support and interest !, It is a strange feeling to realize I have in a way worked hard to be another one than I really am, and it is a relief to regocnize myself in another personality. Though, it has its consequences. People around me see me more free and independent, and that causes some problem. It is easy for me to just be myself, and maybe others have not recognized that means I am quite independent and have my own opinions. On the other hand, I do not want to cause conflict, and I think one of the benefit of this course is that I might understand the other one and I hope to be able to adjust my own expression in a way that they feel comfortable.

it's just such great teaching. I find that it's made a world of difference at work. I'm a supervisor in a shop with about 20 people working for me, 20 very different people, and this has been awesome to apply to. And with my boss, I've worked with him for 29 years and I've never been able to communicate with him as I can now, it's amazing. He's a very high "D" so it's great that Jim shares so many of his own experiences with the class, I find it helpful.

Who would have known, I was taking this course to help me with ministering to people in addictions through my church (which I also find helpful) but I never thought that I would learn so much to apply to work. Thanks so much for providing this on line.

Dear IISOM,

Last week my brothers and I were invited to speak to the youth and lead worship at a church camp in North Carolina. The first day we arrived the Pastor informed me that we were in charge of the evening services every night. This was an unexpected surprise considering the agreement before was that we would only lead worship every evening. But I decided in my heart that I would view this as an opportunity for God to work through us to minister to these precious people. So that afternoon the four of us sat down and began to make a plan.

It was so incredible how God worked through us to impact the lives of these people. One way was through worship. As we led them in worship I began to share with them about how to use their imagination in worship, to actually see and visualize what they were singing. Then I would walk them through and give examples for them to see. After the first night I wasn’t sure if they understood or followed anything I had shown them.

The next day as we were riding together in the van on our way to go White Water Rafting, one of the adult men began to share his experience from the meditation the night before. When he finished a few of the adult women began to share their experience and then the youth began to share. I was amazed how they had actually participated, experienced something and were open to share it.

Every night of worship was an experience. There were also times in the worship where I would just share with them how much God loved them and his view and opinion of them and the fact that HIS view and opinion is indeed REALITY.

The things I learned and experienced at Impact International School of Ministry benefit my life and those around me every day. This past trip was a witness that I have everything I need on the inside, all I have to do is believe it and allow it to come out. I love sharing the gospel with people. I love living in victory so that others can believe that it’s possible for them to live in victory too.

Our influence is so great and people are watching every move we make and every word we say. I want my life to bring glory and honor to God. I want to see people restored with hope that they can live their dreams, they can be successful, they can know that God loves them unconditionally.

I want to thank Bro. Jim, Christy and all the staff at IMPACT and IISOM for taking the time to invest into my life. It IS making an IMPACT on the lives of others through me.

I wanted to take a moment and express my deepest gratitude to my new family here at Impact.

I feel it's honest to say I was completely broken when I arrived here just a little over 60 days ago. Just prior to my arrival my 8-year marriage ended leaving 4 children to be raised by single parents, and I went through Bankruptcy.But the most devastating losses were my lost dreams, focus, purpose, and sadly my identity.

But life here has changed all that. The first session at IISOM began an incredible transformation from the inside out.

I am most humbled by the fact that not only is the grace of God taught here in virtually session (School, regular church sessions, Impact groups etc), it is modeled daily in some way through the lives of ALL who call this home as well.
Here at Impact/IISOM I feel completely surrounded by the love and Peace of God. This pearl of great price has allowed me to develop a righteousness consciousness that in turn has opened up my heart allowing it to begin to feel, dream and live again.I've found myself hungry to witness, encouraged to bless others, and the courage/self confidence that I need are developing from discovering who I really am in Christ from the ashes of despair.Once again my heart is opening up to find and step towards those lost dreams, regain the lost focus, assume my purpose, and recognize my identity in Christ.
I hope this simple letter expresses my sincere appreciation , and hope that each and every person here at Impact sees the vital role they play in changing the way the world sees God.
