Welcome to the book of Acts. In this course, you will see the very beginnings of the New Testament church with all their mistakes and successes. You will see things that hindered the early church and things that worked well for them. They did not do everything perfectly but as they grew in God they learned from their mistakes.
We should pay close attention to the fact that despite their failures, the church was and is still his body in the earth. The early church may not have been perfect, but they did reach the lost and moved in all the gifts God gave them. While taking this course realize that your mistakes do not mean that God can’t use you.
Also in this course, see how the early church moved supernaturally because of their enthusiasm and passion. The gifts are to be used in building the body and encouraging them. The gifts given to the early church are still available to all believers. If you have had trouble moving in the gifts or are unsure because of how they have been taught to you, then open your heart up to God and let him give you the insight to understand their benefits and use in your life. As God moved in the people of the early church, he desires to move in you with souls being saved and miracles following.
Remember, No matter how good we think God is, he’s always better.

There is no homework in this class other than reading the book of Acts from The Message Bible, by Eugene Peterson.
Be sure to complete at least five chapters of reading before each class until the book is completed.
